Coram Children’s Legal Centre’s Child Law Advice Service provides free legal advice and information on child and family issues.
The Child Law Advice Service provides advice on topics such as:
- Parental disputes about child arrangements
- Child protection
- Attending Court
We also run a dedicated telephone line for calls on child and family law. Please visit the Child Law Advice website for full details of the service.
Legal Practice
Our Legal Practice Unit (LPU) has a legal aid contract to provide legal casework advice, assistance and legal representation to clients in relation to children law matters, such as:
- Care proceedings
- Working with a local authority through the pre-proceedings process
- Adoption
- Special guardianship arrangements
- Disputes about child arrangements
Our Legal Practice Unit has limited capacity to take cases which require ongoing legal advice and representation and will usually only be able to take cases where legal aid is available. We would ask that you contact our Child Law Advice Service initially who can then discuss this with you.
