We have published an information page on studying, ‘no study’ conditions and immigration bail.
In January 2018, changes were made to the law regarding immigration bail. Anyone without leave to remain to enter will be subject to immigration bail. This includes asylum seekers, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, undocumented children and young people and care leavers without immigration status.
If you receive a letter informing you that you have been granted immigration bail, it is important that the documents are checked. Conditions that can be placed on a child or young person include restrictions on studying and working. If you have a condition of no study and are studying, it is recommended that you get legal advice as soon as possible. Please see our information page for further details.
